Facebook – a sicko magnet

As always...a drool encrusted parlour for you to let rip on topics of any stamp or kidney that make you sputter with rage, then engage in a lively argument with fellow Malcontents. Also, no doubt, the forum in which clueless boz-eyed frothing misfits will post all manner of billowing crap, because their synapses only fire on Bank Holidays and they cannot read.

I wonder how that would work. Not a bad idea if it did, but they'd just find a way around it.

I think they just shouldn't be allowed a computer at all, and any known sex offender who tries to buy one should be reported immediately. Same goes for second hand market or off the back of a lorry down the pub – anyone flogging computers irresponsibly should be reported. Anyone on the sex offenders register found in possession of one would be arrested, as drug dealers are when raided – we have to monitor these people, especially those with a known criminal history.

But because anyone can get pretty much what they want nowadays, illegal or not, including guns and ammo, I think the only answer is to ban them from using the internet altogether. If they move into a property with an internet connection, it needs to be blocked. Idealistic, maybe, but if parents need to monitor their children's use of the internet because of these sicko stalkers, we need to monitor them – and they give up their right to use the internet in private after their first offence.

That'd never work. There would always be a way around it. You'd also have to ban them from having any electronic device with internet access such as mobile phones, PSPs, Playstation 3s etc. What about libraries? You get free internet access there. Would we all have to prove we weren't paedos when we walk in to check our emails? How would we do that? ID can be faked reasonably easily without the use of something almost 100% foolproof such as retinal scans/fingerprint recognition. Then of course parents would get even more lax in their policing of their children's internet use having being lulled into a false sense of security by the government claiming it's safe.
Besides, you can't just ban a whole group of people from using the internet. The internet is vital for so many things. Phone up any large-ish company for information and they'll refer you to their website, go to the jobcentre and they'll ask you to check websites to look for a job or you're not entitled to JSA, what about all the other 'internet only' things like online savings accounts etc?

Would cost them a fortune on a mobile mind. Stalking 6000 girls must take up most of your day.

But they have to be both penalised and controlled to a certain degree, and doing what we can if that just means visiting known sex offenders periodically and checking their computers if they have one and imposing consequences if there is evidence of inappropriate use, then that's something. This one slipped through the net many times either due to a rape victim being too terrified to give evidence, or with the police and authorities either turning a blind eye or simply couldn't be bothered, and there is so much wrong with that. We're all clutching at straws here. But as usual, it looks like the innocent have to suffer because of the guilty, just like with suicide bombers, we are now all inconvenienced by tight security because of their extreme religious beliefs that are imposed on us through the worst sort of method. It's the same with this – we are all scared and on our guard wondering if we need to wrap our children in cotton wool.

A very good point was raised earlier on the only breakfast prog I watch – you need to provide 3 pieces of personal information to borrow a library book, but just an email address to join facebook, and that isn't right given how this tool is being used.

I think you're all right, there would be no way of policing them. We should just throw them all in work camps together, that way if any of them do get that urge to do sick things they'll only be doing it to other sick perverts. Maybe we could have them fight each other and film it for our entertainment while we're at it, make a bit of money for their upkeep by selling it on PPV.

This is just another reason why the internet is nowadays a sucking shit pit - Oh happy days when a adventurous funster could impersonate a Vicar or a Film Production executive and or a wanky rock star, and do a good days fucking about online

Bullshite, what the fuck are parents for these days? School pantos, free taxi service and cash handouts ?

If you allow your child to use the Interwank then it is your responsibility as a parent to keep a bastarding eye on what they're doing. It's not really that hard, even I manage it. It's basic common sense, not bloody rocket science.

18? I didn't realise you were so ... liberal, Rosso. Personally I'd ban them from everything until they at least left home.

Valks, I mean kids - Not proper drinkers. Kids that parents drag into the pub that then spill juice etc over the table. If you can drink and be realistic, then I don't mind how old they are -14 -15 - 16 whatever. I was drinking with my dad at 14

Same goes for the the net.

This is why my interest has dropped off - Too many Daily Mail brainwashed mongoloids running around, not enough real maniacs

They should put bowls of Meow Meow out on the bar, like cheese and crisps.

Sluice out a few of these C4 pretty boy/girl - teenage imbeciles - They're all boring

(actually I think we all seem to agree on the keeping tossers out of pubs line of thought - well done!)
